Welcome to summer! We hope your family enjoys a season filled with rest, fun, and time together. As we continue strengthening and refining our academic programs at Lee Academy, our English department is currently implementing updates to our curriculum and instructional resources. Because of these exciting changes, we have chosen to suspend the formal summer reading assignment for this year for all grade levels.

While there is no required reading assignment, we still strongly encourage students to spend time reading throughout the summer. Whether it’s library visits, trips to bookstores, books by the pool or beach, or listening to audiobooks while traveling, reading remains one of the best ways to keep minds active and growing.

We look forward to an exciting school year ahead and are confident that the updates being made to our English curriculum will continue to support strong literacy growth, critical thinking, and a love for learning in our students.
