Thank You For Your Support!
The goal of any elementary school fundraising campaign is to raise as much money as possible in the least amount of time. Achieving that goal, however, requires a lot of effort, time, motivation, and participation on the part of everyone involved. The success of your school’s campaign to fund an athletic team, class trip, building project, or community effort rides in large part on the fundraising catalog partner that you choose to work with. At Charleston Wrap, we have been helping schools like yours maximize their elementary school fundraisers since 1993.

Halloween Carnival
As a fun and safe alternative to the door-to-door trick or treating, the Parent Teacher
Organization will be hosting our Annual Halloween CARnival. The event will be held in
the student parking lot, Wednesday, October 31th from 6:00pm-8:00pm. All parents
and students are invited. This was a fantastic way to spend Halloween with your family
and friends! There will be concessions, games, face painting, balloon tying, laser tag,
cake walk and more!
Teachers, organizations and clubs are invited to participate by sponsoring trunks or
games. The PTO will be selling T-shirts for the CARnival that you are sure to love.
If you would like to participate by decorating your vehicle and providing candy to the
children, please contact Betsy Whiteside at Betsy.Whiteside@caresouth-Carolina.com.
There is no fee to participate. The deadline for entries is Friday, October 26th
.
The best way to plan your trunk is to pick a theme. Think of it like dressing yourself in a
costume. Sometimes you pick a theme and throw things together.
A few suggestions:
'70's- Throw down some shag carpet and hang a disco ball. Wear 'fro’ wigs and tie dye.
You could also do 50's, 60's or 80's too
Mother Goose- have a few little settings around the trunk representing different nursery
rhymes
Clown- You can dress as a clown and fill your trunk with balloons
Zookeeper- with lots of stuffed animals set about;
Beach or Luau- Open up the back of the vehicle, hang some towels and set up a
boogie board against the door, set out beach chairs, use an umbrella. There are tons of
things you could do with this
NASCAR - Display all your souvenirs
Harvest Theme
Sports (pick a sport) - Team displays are popular
Popular Kid's Themes: Sesame Street, Dora the Explorer, Veggie Tales;
Backyardigans (If you have children and they're into a particular character you can use
their stuff. Other kids will love it)
Animal Themes – “Stuffed animals count”;
Movie Themes (Keep the children in mind though)
Western
Camping Out
Christmas (or other holiday) Theme
Gone Fishing Theme
Pirate Theme
Don't forget about a costume for yourself. The best and most interesting trunks have
their owners dressed to match the theme. There will be a prize for the best decorated
trunk! We are expecting approximately 200 children so please plan accordingly. Have
fun with it!! However, since this event is for the younger ones, we ask that
participants not use extremely scary items, like blood, monsters or gore.
Continuing to think about the safety of the children, once you are parked (as a trunker),
your vehicle cannot be moved until the event is over. All Trunkers will need to be in the
parking lot no later than 5:30. The gate will be locked and no one will be allowed to
enter after 5:30 in order to ensure the safety of our children.
Admission to the CARnival will be $8.00, up to 13 years of age (under the age of 3 and
parents are free).
Please join us October 31th for a BOOTASTIC time!!

Santa Shop and Mother's Day Sale
Cavalier students love to shop, especially for Christmas and Mother’s Day. There is an annual Santa Shop, held in December, providing the students with an opportunity to buy gifts for their family and friends. The Mother’s Day Sale, held in May, allows our students to find that special gift for their mother, grandmother or special person. Gifts range from $1.00-$5.00. Both events are held in the Library.
The Cavalier Pride Auction is an annual event sponsored by the Lee Academy PTO in an effort to raise monies to support the academic endeavors of the school. Monies raised by this event are utilized to purchase books, technology, instructional supplies, and other academic needs identified throughout the school year. This event is the main fund-raiser sponsored by this organization during the school year. This year our auction will be held on March 17, 2018! Check out our auction page!!
This year, our school will continue to participate in the Box Tops for EducationTM
program. Clipping Box Tops is an easy way for you to help our school buy what it
needs. Box Tops are each worth 10¢ and they quickly add up to real cash for our
school. To help our school, just look for pink Box Tops on products, clip them, and
send them to school. For more information on the Box Tops for Education
program, including a list of participating products and our school’s progress, visit
www.BTFE.com. Be sure to become a member to receive exclusive coupons and
recipes and learn about extra ways for our school to earn. I hope you’re excited
for everything we can do this year with Box Tops! If you have any questions,
please don’t hesitate to contact me at agsaandjsmom@yahoo or call me at 428-

success this year. Thanks for your help.
